opencode v1.18.33: Cloudflare AI Gateway timeouts, safer debug output, Gemini thinking controls
opencode v1.18.33 shipped on September 28, 2026 with four core bugfixes, plus community work led by five contributors.
Core fixes
- Cloudflare AI Gateway models now honor provider response and stream timeouts, so gateway requests fail on schedule instead of hanging past the provider’s limits.
- MCP browser launch failures are now reported when the launcher exits immediately, instead of dying silently.
- Debug configuration output now redacts credentials and sensitive headers before anything is printed.
- Gemini thinking defaults and effort options now match the supported controls across model generations.
Community notes
The release credits five community contributors, among them Zen documentation additions (Claude Opus 5.5, GPT 6 Sol, and GPT 6 Luna), a GitLab AI provider bump to 6.16.0, and the Gemini thinking-default fix itself.
