About
opencode in one sentence
opencode is an open-source AI coding agent from Anomaly (the team formerly known as SST), MIT-licensed. Its home is a terminal TUI, with a desktop app and IDE integrations; it is provider-agnostic — 75+ providers via models.dev, free models bundled — with MCP support, custom agents, commands and keybinds.
Why this site exists
opencode moves fast and its plugin/provider surface changes weekly. This site does three jobs: turns each release into readable notes (news); catalogues the plugins, themes and providers scattered across the ecosystem into one filterable map; and writes up the questions that actually come up — install, config, plugin authoring — as guides.
Where the numbers come from
Every figure on this site — stars, forks, npm downloads, release metadata — is a snapshot pulled from the GitHub and npm APIs when the site builds. Nothing is typed in by hand.
